Is it really free?
Yes. The passage is free and there is no credit card. If you like it, the rest of our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade ELAR and math resources are in the membership. If you don't, keep it anyway.
Will it fit my students?
It is built for 3rd grade ELAR. Students read a classmate's paper and fix spelling, subject-verb agreement, contractions, possessives, commas and sentence combining, then write a short constructed response with evidence from the text.
How much work is it on my end?
Almost none. Print the passage and the questions, then grade with the answer key and the rubric. It works for whole class, small group or independent practice.
